We actually did it....

Top of Cerro San Cristobal

Stop the presses, hold the phone...I know I said I would never blog, but here goes nothing - I hope you all enjoy!

It has now been 3 weeks since Stephen and I arrived in Santiago, and what a whirlwind it has been!  This is one of the most amazing cities I have ever visited and SO green.  After our 1st couple days in the hotel, we decided that we loved the area we were staying in, and were lucky enough to find a 1 bedroom apartment to rent in the same building!  It is within a block of everything you could ever want or need - even a Starbucks (though I have only been once...instant coffee isn't THAT terrible just yet).  The metro, department stores, grocery stores, cafes, sushi restaurants, mcdonalds and a bunch of parks are all at our doorstep.  It has been an easy transition from all the driving we had to do in ATL, especially because the metro is fast and clean and goes just about everywhere we will ever need to go.

Sunset from our Apartment

We have been settling in nicely and even made a few friends - thank you Diana for introducing us to Nadine!

I even started Crossfit down here - it has been a great way for me to start feeling settled and getting in a good, healthy routine.  My musculador is coming quick Noonie - you better get on that!

I don't wanna bore you with too many details on my 1st post, so I will leave it at that...more to come from our trip this past weekend to Cajon del Maipo.  I hope this finds you all well.  Please don't hesitate to email either of us anytime!

And if there is ever a Santiago trip on your radar/in your dreams, we have a pullout couch and would love the company!

Besos,
Steph and Stephen
